Altest Corporation: Electronics Assembly

Modernizing the builders of the future.

Altest is a legacy print circuit board manufacturer that wanted to update their digital facing branding. The print circuit board assembly industry based in the US markets is very much behind on digital marketing trends and design practices. We sought to modernize their website and branding to bring them to the forefront of their industry.

The Branding: Revisit and Revamp

A reimagining of their origin story. Not a sequel, it's a remake.

Altest has been in business for 25 years and throughout their time there have been a handful of branding changes. We thought the very first logo was much more interesting and wanted to modernize their original logo while updating the colors to be more modern. A company that builds electronics for the future should have the most forward thinking logo. We turned the “A” in Altest into a delta symbol to represent change and to provide more character to the new logo which also doubles as an icon logo to provide flexibility in branding.

The Visuals: Green Manufacturing

Showcase the movement, the function, the machines.

We wanted to showcase every single machine and assembly process of the company for each of their web pages. Each machine had it's own function and we wanted to capture what each machine. We took photos of each machine as well as a video of them performing their tasks.

The Site: Funnels all the way down

Drive customer form submissions above all else.

We had to take a step back and understand how the PCB assembly industry drove sales and converted visitors to leads to customers. We looked at what successful competitors in their industry did to convert sales and discovered that many of them had outdated marketing practices and disorganized user experiences. Altest to succeed had to convey to a visitor their manufacturing capabilities and drive visitors to submit a lead capture form.

The Marketing: A strategy from the ground up

An industry in need of modernization.

Creating a marketing strategy for Altest was a new challenge for us at mixed ideas. Traditionally, for a B2B focused field, we would focus on creating expert content and white papers gated behind email submission forms to convert visitors to leads. However, through further competitor analysis, we found that every one of them had very low engagement rates for posts. We had to find another solution. We went back and relied on traditional marketing approaches, such as email marketing mixed with modern practices, such as automation and email lists.
